This very rare vintage Italian ceramic asparagus serving platter with a removable draining insert is beautifully decorated with white asparagus that gained a hint of green and lavender when touched by the sun. The asparagus is entwined with exquisitely detailed veined green leaves which encircle the tray on delicate green vines. All of the decoration is raised.
This platter has a classic and elegant shape and is composed of two parts: the tray and a drainer which fits perfectly inside. Your asparagus will be hot, delicious and free of excess water. Of course, the platter can be used with the drain for fruit and other vegetables you wish to keep dry as well as being used by itself as a lovely and elegant serving dish.
This wonderful vintage piece is in excellent condition.
