There are traces of the original paint that were stripped off some time ago and replaced with a mahogany color paint. This has been hand chamfered and dove tailed. Expert craftsmanship can be seen on the hand turned Sheraton style legs. The wood is tulip poplar, which is prevalent in Pennsylvania, where this seller believes it was created.
