Sometimes we wish vintage pieces could tell their stories. This brass cache pot is very solid and heavy, so perhaps intended to be used as a censer or incense burner. Most recently it appears to have been used for floral arrangements. We can’t be certain of age, but we do know that it came from a home decorated in the 1960’s or 1970’s.
The body sits on a pedestal base and sports the familiar lions head and ring handles.
This is a wonderful vintage piece with lots of history that would be perfect to house a fern or an orchid in today’s decor.

There is patina throughout with some scuffs and oxidation. The inside has water lines and discoloration maybe from burning incense. It is marked handmade on the bottom which would account for some of the marks in the brass. Please see all pictures. less
