They have cow horn handles, silver plate ferrules, and steel blades. It was a common practice in France in the 19th century to purchase knives separately from the remainder of the table setting. The blades are embossed "Au Diamant". They are in very good condition with minor oxidation to some blades and wear consitent with age and use. The box shows some wear inside and out.
