This elegant hand-carved modernist Art Deco decorative lidded box was crafted in France circa 1940. The rectangular shape has solid wood and crystal clear Lucite on the sides and is ornate with an off-white Galalith stick handle. The original sticker underside reads "Bois des Iles Garanti" (French for Exotic wood guaranteed).
The box is in good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use.
Measurements: 6.13 in wide (15.5 cm) x 3.94 in deep (10 cm) x 3.13 in high (8 cm).
