Early twentieth century earthenware butter churner from Morocco. Baked earthenware with a light brown glaze and decorative painted trim.
This would have been tied by the handles to the side of a donkey for moving the contents. The milk churning vessel is from the Berber culture in Morocco.
Light chips to the mouth from use, and one surface crack that is shown - not through the vessel side.
It measures 21" long X 20 high and is 1 3/4" thick
