Made in Entre Deux Guiers France in the Mid Century by The Auguste Mollard Company. The unusual shaped round box has a beautiful hand painted and lacquered finish by the artist Henri Burnet. The box is hand signed by the artist on the bottom underside.

The rare French Country hand painted floral Folk Art round wood box measures 7" DIA X 2 3/4" H. It is in very good vintage condition consistent with age, use, and signs of handling. There is a chip in the lacquer finish on the underside of the lid top that is not visible when the top is on, and some light patina from wear to the outer finish that adds to the authentic vintage appeal.
