Stamped on the frame with the manufacturer's mark and serial number, also present on the certificate of authenticity. Gerrit Rietveld designed it in 1918. This armchair is part of the Dutch De Stijl movement, characterized by rigorous abstraction of lines and colors. Functional and rational design. The Red and Blue Chair has been a design icon for over 100 years. The frame is made of solid black-stained beech, with yellow lacquered ends.
