A wonderful 1960’s nursery rhyme themed child's mug and egg cup from Poole's in England. The outside and inside of the mug are cream colored. One side of mug has a boy kissing a crying girl in front of a school and reads, “Georgie Porgie”. The other side of the mug has Wee Willie Winkie wandering through town in his night clothes and candle in hand and reads, “Wee Willie Winkie”. Underside reads, “Poole England”, with logo and children on a teeter totter.
The egg cup is also cream colored and features "Humpty Dumpty" sitting on the wall on one side, with soldiers (all the king's men) circling round and features a palace. Underside reads 'Poole England'. Both pieces in good condition.
Would make a charming gift for a new baby!
