This is a Absolutely Beautiful and Quite Rare Piece of Antique American Victorian Silver Plate. This Large Size Hot Coffee Server - Pitcher Comes From the Classic Victorian East Lake Style Period - Circa 1880s. The Bottom is Embossed - Bears the Makers Name "HARTFORD SILVERPLATE CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE - 1350". It has Beautifully & Finely All Hand Engraved Decorated Features that Include Birds, a Ocean Shore Scene with Seagulls, Flowers & Sprigs Etc. The Interior Houses a White Porcelain Insert That Holds the Hot Coffee when Filled. NOTE ALSO! - That it Also has the Very Unusual Feature of a Hollow Internal Chamber That Can be Filled with Added Hot Water to Help Keep the Coffee Hot For a Longer Period of Time. This Chamber Can be Filled With the Added Hot Water by Removing the Threaded Screw Cap Plug on the Bottom - Please See the Last Photograph in my Listing. It is Constructed out of White Metal with a Very Heavy "Quadruple" Silver Plated Finish. It is in Very Nice All Original & Functional Condition - Displays Beautifully. No Damage.
It Measures Overall Approx 13 inches Tall x 10 1/2 inches Long x 6 inches Wide.
