Di Muzio studied sculpture at the … Read more Abstract stone sculpture 'Metropolis 4' by Vittorio di Muzio (1924 - 2014), Italy 1986. Di Muzio studied sculpture at the l’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and was trained by Maestro Marino Marini, he graduated in 1958. This work is sculpted out of Granito verde (46,5KG) and shows a characteristic patterned grain. Very strong and voluminous appearance with well balanced 'stacked' cubic shapes. Interesting contrast between the cubic shapes and the organic lines which flowingly connects the cubes and makes it a total sculpture instead of individual cubes. Works of Di Muzio were promoted by prestigious International galleries and he participated on several important International exhibitions during his career. Work of Di Muzio is among the collection of several important museums and can be found in public spaces as well. Signed at the lower corner: DM. In excellent original condition. See less
