This carved walnut sculpture was created by Jose de Creeft in the 40’s.
Jose de Creeft ( 1884-1992)was a Spanish- American sculptor who specializes in female sculpture.
His most famous commission is the “Alice in Wonderland Sculpture in Central Park, NYC
His works are in the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA, Smithsonian just to name a few
