CM141 desk from the 1950s modernist by Pierre Paulin, first designer creation, published by Thonet in 1954.
A classic of certain elegance.
Composed of a base with four black lacquered metal legs connected by three flat spacers.
The top is made of melanin covered with black formica on the left and a chest of drawers in blond teak veneer on the right. The box is made up of two drawers opening with a U-shaped black lacquered metal handle.
In very good condition, the black formica surround has been refurbished, the top has remained original, it has signs of wear inherent to its great age, a few scratches etc., but very discreet in the together. The same goes for the box, the wood has its original patina, which is very beautiful and gives it all its charm. The inside of the drawers have some marks.
Some light paint chips on the base.
Very good general condition. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
