The design was derived … Read more Rare set of 2 folding chairs with armrests designed by the Ahrend De Cirkel Design Team. The design was derived from Friso Kramer’s folding theatre chairs, which in turn were derived from the famous Revolt chair in 1959. Like Friso Kramer’s theatre chairs, these are not only foldable but also linkable and stackable. Besides the many similarities, there are also some differences. Because these chairs were upholstered (with red fabric), they have a wooden seat and back instead of a ciranol seat and back (as with the Revolt folding chairs). The condition is still good with normal signs of use; we have restored, sanded and varnished the seat, back and armrests so that they will last for years. In some places you can still see the holes of the staples in the wood where the fabric was attached. Dimensions: h x w x d = 76 x 61 x 55 cm. The seat height is 43 cm and the armrest height is 65 cm.
