The back is the same, save for a spot on one side that has pulled away from the edge. We do many things here, but upholstery is not one of them. It was left just as it was found, thus it needs to be reattached. The wood running down the sides to the seat, and the arms is in fine shape with a glossy finish, but the left arm front has some wear. The arm upholstery is very good, as is the seat fabric with only the slightest wear to be found, and the piping around the edges is intact. The darker spots to the right are shadows. The wooden seat base looks nice and is damage free, and the underside is fine. The front legs are excellent, and the rear ones have some wear near the bottom. The caster wheels all look good and roll and spin as they should. The wood at the top of the backrest of the other chair is good with no issues found, and the condition of the front and rear fabric is excellent. The wood running down the sides to the seat, and the arms is in fine shape on the right and the left as pictured is missing the ornamental round piece. This is present and will be attached before shipping the chairs out. It went missing for a while but has been found. The same side has an area where the finish is not as good and there is a small crack. Neither of these are visible from the front (actually, both chairs look excellent from the front). Like the first chair, the arm upholstery is very good, as is the seat fabric with only the slightest wear to be found, and the piping around the edges is intact. The wooden seat base looks nice and is damage free, and the underside is fine. The front legs are excellent, and the rear ones have some wear near the bottom. The caster wheels all look good and roll and spin as they should. One of these does not stay in if the chair is lifted off the floor, and one has received a screw to secure it, as we had none of the antique square nails available to match the rest. The one screw used looks like the only repairs that have been done on either pieces. Please see the pictures for further details. less
