These temple angels and protectors are generally from … Read more Very old Thai statue professionally mounted and pinned on a black base. These temple angels and protectors are generally from the Chang Mai area - hand crafted from very old wood - age unknown, likely late 19th. Century.
This tall and detailed Asian piece stands on a lotus leaf base in a traditional pose.
There are missing piece on the figure's left hand side which is acceptable on very old statues like this. This does not detract from the antiquity of the item in any way. Lovely age patination and mounting is of museum quality.
Acquired from a collectors estate in Florida.
