"Sum of the Parts" - Abstract Etching in Ink on Paper (#3/20)
Dark abstract print by Doris Ann Warner (American, 1925-2010). This piece is dark and saturated, with three rows of three similarly shaped objects. They are somewhat rectangular, but with rounded corners, like stacked rocks. This piece is printed on tan paper.
Numbered, titled, signed, and dated along the bottom edge: 3/20 "Sum of the Parts" D. Warner '81
Presented in a new grey mat with foamcore backing.

Doris Ann Warner began as an Abstract Expressionist painter, but was primarily known for stone carving as well as abstract female figures, which emphasized body movement through rhythmic flow of mass and line. Warner studied at the University of California Santa Cruz as well as Pietrasanta, Italy, with Professor Pasquale Martini in 1988.
