Wonderful woodblock print titled "Weaving" by Aptos, California artist Virginia J Hughins (Virginia Brubaker DeWolf) (American, 1923-2004), circa 1990.
Signed "Virginia" bottom right, titled and numbered "5/12" along bottom edge.
Presented in a new grey mat with foamcore backing.
Mat size: 24"H x 20"W
Paper size: 22.25"H x 15"W
Hughins was an accomplished artist, many of her watercolors could be seen around Santa Clara, Santa Cruz County Watercolor Society shows. She was an avid freelance writer and illustrator for children's books. Lifetime member of Romance Writers Association and Pen Women's Association.
