Gymnolomia porteri (latin)
This antique chromolithograph was made in 1878 and is from 'The Flowers and Ferns of the United States' by Thomas Meehan.Meehan was Professor of Vegetable Physiology for the Pennsylvania State Board of Agriculture. He was also the editor of The Gardeners' Monthly.
It is in excellent condition. The colors are fresh and bright.
