This vintage bride's bowl is a stunning piece, possibly from Fenton, but the maker is unknown. The base was made by the Crescent Silver Co with quadruple silverplate. The beautiful blue ribbed optic design and opalescent ruffled edge will add a touch of elegance to any decor. The color of the bowl is a lovely shade of aqua blue. The base is silver but looks copper on the outside and silver underneath.
Brides bowls were popular between 1880-1910. They are usually decorative colored glass with a silver base. The bowls were set out at the wedding to hold expensive gifts.
It has about a 2 inch section on the base where the metal has worn away and there is a hole. See the photo. The base is removable if you desire to do that. The bowl is about 12 inches in diameter. The glass is in good condition. It is antique and has some wear on the silver base. It is a very unique and beautiful piece. Message me with any questions.
