This elegant, midcentury-style vase is produced by Vallauris potter Jean Austruy. The thick, textured glaze is decorated with abstract geometric lines on a mottled grey background, reminiscent of ethnic or tribal ornamental motifs. Produced in a very free spirit, this is a typical production of the artist.
The free-form ceramic is in very good condition and beautifully turned.
