A lovely and rare pair of late 19th Century red cinnabar lacquer lamped vases with shades. The vases feature expertly carved scholarly garden scenes on the front and back sides. Mounted as table lamps with pierced hardwood stands, hardwood neck blocks, along with all updated brass hardware and electrical, they are home ready.

Very nice antique condition with only some touch up around the top lip of the necks and then to the very bottom foot rings. Otherwise just a small amount of age/usage wear is noted. Very few of these original lamps have survived because overtime they got knocked over or dropped and the cinnabar broke off. These were well card for, have the true cinnabar color and a wonderful patina.
