A true piece of art! This pottery dish is very substantial, made of thick clay with rolled handles. It has a crystalline glaze in turquoise and cobalt blue colors with visible crystals that formed during the firing process. The handles are finished with a contrasting matte bronze glaze which could be mistaken for metal. A very cool and difficult to achieve piece of artisan ware that takes years of honing one's skills. Signed 'CLM 1999' on the reverse. Beautiful to display or to use around the home!
Measures 21-1/2" wide at the handles by 18" diameter x 2" high.
