(See others offered in … Read more This is one of several 1899 antique chromolithograph sunflower botanicals that we recently purchased in Paris. (See others offered in our shop.) It showcases the "Soliel Geant", Giant Sunflower, which is one of the oldest of the sunflower varieties/ It features large flower heads and sturdy stems. It is shown in wonderful color with great detailing in both the blossoms and the leaves. It is signed by the artist on lower right side of the plant. The chromolithograph is in pristine clean condition with no age markings. Note the unusual shading feature of the leaves and the dark background of the paper, both of which add a depth to the botanical. 10.75 x 7.75 inches in size. See less
