This is an Absolutely Beautiful - Very Nice Quality Original Matched Pair of Vintage Sterling Silver Salt & Pepper Shakers. … Read more This is an Absolutely Beautiful - Very Nice Quality Original Matched Pair of Vintage Sterling Silver Salt & Pepper Shakers. Circa Mid 1900s. They are Rendered in a Classic Late Victorian Style. NOTE! That the Tops - Sprinkle Holes are Slightly Different in Size do Designate the Salt Shaker from the Pepper Shaker. They are Completely Hand Made and Heavily Cast in Solid Sterling Silver with a Substantial Combined Total Solid Sterling Silver Weight of 149.06 Grams / 4.793 Troy Ounces ( Well Over 2 Troy Ounces Each ). They Also Have All Hand Chased and Engraved Floral Decorated Features. They are Marked STERLING With No Maker Marks. Most Likely American in Origin. NOTE That They Have a Added Twist - Turn "Post and "L" Slot" Type Locking Mechanism Function on the Tops - Lids That Hold - Lock Them in Place Nice and Tight. They are in Excellent Cosmetic and Functional Condition and They Display Beautifully. They are Very Lightly Tarnished.
