It is an armchair that folds flat, more deck chair than armchair perhaps, but it has these lovely arm rests. I suppose this would have been used in the garden or on a covered terrace, or in an orangery perhaps. It folds almost flat for easy winter storage. A really unique piece. Perhaps to be considered for light use due to the construction and the hinging. For instance, i wouldn't want to put all my weight on the arms to get out of the chair\. They will wobble a little bit, but overall the construction is sound. The legs have this lovely brass detail on the bottom so stop the wood from wearing out. A unique and lovely piece.
