- Chrome base shows some tarnish. Seat has some gray smudges (see photo showing dime). There are some small chips and … moreChrome base shows some tarnish. Seat has some gray smudges (see photo showing dime). There are some small chips and scratches scattered throughout the plastic shell but nothing stands out too much. The orange trim accent ring on the stem of the base has a small segment of it missing (see photo) but it is not a structural issue at all and you can rotate the missing part towards the back so it doesn't show. The rubber ring that was attached to the rim of the base on the underside has come off and will ship with the chair. The chair is still fine without the rubber ring.. Swiveling mechanism works very well. less
