The beveled mirror with artist-signed, hand-painted gold Chinoiserie frame. Has mounting hardware on verso for horizontal or vertical mounting.
This rectangular painted giltwood mirror has pretty scenes portraying flying birds, butterflies in a natural setting with flowering foliage. The main colours are apart from gold, - apricot, peach, light olive green and antique white. An attractive palette of colours.
Gold leaf background. This could be hung either way with adjusting the wire at the back.
Signed by artist upper right "Tricia" and dated 1984. With the La Barge label on verso.
A heavy, high quality mirror exceptionally well made.
