Entirely hand-carved with a foliate crest at the middle, continuing though the tightly upholstered seat framed by open arms (like a fauteuil) down to Louis XVI motifs such as tall, fluted legs under a pale wash of chalk-white pigment so desirable of Gustavian antiques.
