Offered is this very rare Murano art glass bottle by Fratelli Toso. This masterpiece is certain to be the gem of your collection. Created with beautiful swirling alternating stripes of robin’s egg blue and white ribbon glass canes, delicately framed with stripes of transparent glass canes. This large glass decanter exemplifies the inimitable artistry and painstakingly perfected detail found in the finest pieces of Murano glass. It retains its original Fratelli Toso "Made in Murano" sticker in near-perfect condition.
Fratelli Toso was created in 1854 by six brothers - Angelo Toso, Giovanni Toso, Ferdinando Toso, Carlo Toso, Gregorio Toso and Liberato Toso. They were joined by Ermanno Toso in 1924 who became artistic director. The Fratelli Toso company is well known for its use of colourful murrines and millefiori during the 1950's and earlier.
