This stunning masterpiece of art was created by an exceptionally talented artist from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. Lorenzo Bugarini comes from the famous Bugarini family of potters--collectors will recognize the name. He has formed this piece of art with the local brown clay and given it a stone-polished finish. His intricate and expertly painted geometrics wrap around the pot and encircle a stylized figure common for this artists work.
