An antique engraving by Pio Panfili (May 5, 1723 – 17 June 1812), an Italian painter and engraver.
It is a view of Strada Maggiore in Bologna" (check name)
The plate impression measures 9.5"W x 7"H and is on a sheet that is 16.5"W x 12.5"H. It is surrounded by a wide ivory mat, under glass, and in a walnut frame. Overall measurement is 18"W x .75"W x 14.5"H. The etching was removed from frame for information about the artist, title and date (which there was none other than a definitive plate impression). It is in good vintage condition with a spot on the mat that does not go through to the print paper.
