His subject matter runs the gambit from this charning teddy bears picnic to fireplace teapot, everything one of his design is whimsical and makes one smiles.

This particular design is vintage, though the exact year needs more research. The teapot shows the family of bears from the bespectacled grandmother to the young bears on the blanket and on the tree limb. The sprout and handle are the tree branches and bears on the green floral blanket turns out to the cover! Clever! The bottom of the teapot resembles a cut out of the trunk and on it is the following:
"P Cardew "
In the center are these words: "Cardew Design, Made in England"
