The graceful lines of swans long neck as she turns around to primp a tail feather. The feathers covering the body of the swan are rendered in near perfect detail. The swan is finished in a glossy creamy white except for the swans bill and eyes are glossy black.

As for function, the swan's graceful neck serves as the handle for the lid which is removable to access the interior of the tureen. The ceramic label sits snugly inside the body of the tureen with the handle designed to look like a plume of feathers where is extends from the interior.
