This vintage rare Mid Century Modern Venini Incalmo two tone large hand blown Murano art glass bottle is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection. The large hand blown art glass bottle is made in Murano Italy by Venini in the Mid Century. The Modernist style Incalmo technique large art glass bottle features a beautiful two tone palette of light sky blue and pale sea green.
Founded in 1921 by Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappellini, Venini is known for its stunning handcrafted glass work. Based in Murano, an island celebrated for its rich glass history, the Italian glass company is especially acclaimed for its vibrant palette and unusual shapes.
The Incalmo technique of creating a glass object, usually a vessel, by fusing two or more blown glass elements. The process, first practiced in the Islamic world The Middle Ages, demands great precision because the edges of the adjoining elements must have the same diameter.
The large Modernist hand blown Incalmo Murano art glass bottle measures 5 1/2" DIA X 20" H. It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, use, and light signs of handling. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.
