This shaped box has a carved, angular top outlined with satinwood for subtle contrast, opening to a fitted interior. Inside are two removable boxes with sliding tops once used for storing loose leaf teas, shaped to echo the geometric dome of the outer case. The well in the center retains its original, cut crystal blending bowl that might easily double as flower vase. Note the gorgeous inlaid satinwood shield escutcheon on the front, however no key is present. The whole is raised on decorative bronze feet which are slightly different between the front and back; the back two have been repaired at some point in time.
