One of several pieces from the same vendor, all listed separately in our shop — including a large soup tureen and a sauce tureen set with underplate, all in the same rose floral on white.
The scalloped oval form is classic Rococo: a molded scrollwork rim with shaped cartouches at each end, a fine rose pinstripe tracing the edge, and a gently recessed deep well at the center for catching drippings at table. The rose floral decoration — scattered bouquets and small sprigs in warm deep pink against white — is distributed across both the rim and the well, light and airy in arrangement. The molded relief work on the border is crisp and well-preserved.
In excellent antique condition with honest age-appropriate patina.
