Lovely little pair of vintage binoculars by Lemaire Fabt, Paris, dating to the 1920s or older and used for viewing … Read more Lovely little pair of vintage binoculars by Lemaire Fabt, Paris, dating to the 1920s or older and used for viewing horse races or opera. They come with the original black leather case, which is lined with satin and has a small brass opening button with a bee on it -- the company's logo, which also appears on the binocular's eye cups.

The focus knob is bakelite and turns easily, with full extension of the lenses. The binoculars are in good condition, with wonderful optics, smooth function, but some wear on the leather and black metal finish. The case also has wear on the leather, plus a missing strap, wear on the lining, and a missing pin on one of the hinges. The bee clasp opens easily and closes securely. See less
