Pickled rattan + rawhide leather chairs with smooth arched backs. Set of six includes four side chairs and two armchairs. Very good overall condition with age wear as shown. No maker marks; attributed to Philippines production.
20.38ʺW × 18.25ʺD × 35.63ʺH with 18"H seats and 25.63"H arms
Lovely and uncommon set in sturdy construction. These date to the latter part of the 20th century and feature a light tone (aka pickled). The hand-woven rawhide leather has been created in a pleasing pattern that adds texture to the set, yet feels subdued and Minimalist. These would be beautiful around a marble tulip dining table, an oval teak Danish Modern table, or one with a glass top and travertine base for a clean, tone-on-tone aesthetic. A great, versatile set.
The leather has a warm weathered patina from normal use and age. Some of the light wash has come away from handling and the rawhide leather does show crazing. The chairs are sturdy for normal use.
