The bulbous body is finely enamelled with four raised medallions, one pair decorated in mirror image with a flowering peony … Read more The bulbous body is finely enamelled with four raised medallions, one pair decorated in mirror image with a flowering peony branch and birds issuing from above buds of aster, the other pair also in mirror image and similarly enamelled with an adorned with poems by the Qianlong Emperor, the medallions each encircled by a gilt border and reserved against an even black-glazed ground finely speckled with flakes of gilt, the moulded flaring neck flanked by a pair of reticulated stylised dragon handles edged with gilt, the underside similarly glazed with gilt speckles.

It is in antique condition with one crack line at the bottom. The vase was created by skilled craftsmen in traditional style with fine handcrafts. The handwork is very fine with incredible detailing.
