Mae Ethel Klinck Myers (August 23, 1881 – May 24, 1960) Pencil illustration in the style of Art Nouveau, linear and graphic with wide tonal areas in graduation. Influences of luminism, and Jungsteil design. Finely conceived composition of an illustration of a Tennison Poem. Quickly read scene in the vogue inspired by Japanese block prints and the Jungenstil taste for the graphic and bold.
Sourced from Krashauer Gallery NYC. ( focus on early 20th century American). purchased in the 80s.
