Garlanded throughout the lid and underplate with delicate and highly detailed oak leaves, the dome also bears a branch-like handle and two decorative relief medallions. The dome is in excellent condition, while the underplate has two hairlines: both nicely restored and sealed to prevent any further elongation. Suitable for use or display, however it is recommended not to soak the underplate in water. Normal artisanal irregularities, very light oxidation to the glazed underplate surface. Bears the impressed three letter date mark for 1876 (“WOE” without an “ENGLAND” mark which would date it later).
