Just in, this stunning Antique French Louis XVI style Silver Bouillotte Lamp & original Tole Shade, from C.1900-1920s.
Great details to the cup, this lamp has three wired candle holders.
The Tole shade is in great condition and functions correctly.
Very good antique condition, consistent with age and use, original patina and in working order.
History of the Bouillotte Lamps;
"Originally, this lamp was designed as a card game accessory, from which it takes its name: the hot water bottle. The "bouillotte game" was popular in France, especially during the French Revolution, a French card game that appeared in the 18th century and was based on three of a kind"
