This wooden bowl is large and wide with date “1782” underneath along with a set of initials. An unusual detail is the cross on the left of the bottom. The meaning of the symbol is that it would protect the family and farm against trolls and other creatures. It has never been painted and has been used in the household for storing food. There is a smaller dry crack in the bottom but it’s in otherwise good condition. The wood itself has turned almost white because of how often it has been wiped clean. The width varies 20 to 27 cm.
