Art Deco cream cracked Glaze Ceramic.

This is the great signature of the Saint-Clément factory. Charles Lemanceau, French sculptor and ceramist is famous for his cracked earthenware bestiary, Art Deco style. A graduate of the School of Applied Arts and the National School of Decorative Arts in 1923, in the wake of Victor Prouvé, he worked for the art workshops of spring and for the earthenware of Saint-Clément. In 1925, he exhibited at the Autumn Salon, in the company of the elite: Mallet-Stevens, Le Corbusier and Henri Matisse. Then, after opening his workshop in 1928, he devoted himself to Saint-Clément, notably with his series of hinds and elephants.
