Heralding the spring and summer seasons, here is a rare set of Royal Winton floral form cream soup, dessert bowl … Read more Heralding the spring and summer seasons, here is a rare set of Royal Winton floral form cream soup, dessert bowl or teacup set. Each has an attached underplate: in six different colored lusterware glazes and lily pad motif, the blossom shaped cups are attached to their saucers. One edge of the Trompe L'Oleil lilly pad is shaped as a grasping point from which to bring the cup to one's lips for a sip of tea or cream soup. An all-over opalescent top glaze elevates their style even further.
The cups are stamped on the underside 'Royal Winton, Grimwades, Made in England'
