An interesting American modernist picture frame with simple geometrical lines and beveled sides and back, circa 1940s. Unique red liner gives this piece a flair for the dramatic and opens up loads of possibilities. Solid construction with tight corners, some nailed.
The measurements are:
Overall: 20" long x 16" wide x 2.5" deep.
Sight: 8.25" x 12.25"
Rabbet: 8.75" x 12.75" x 0.5" deep.
Good vintage condition commensurate with age and use. Wear, tear, and paint loss to edges and corners, one section of scratching at front right. Other assorted nicks and knocks here and there. Currently oriented to be hung vertically, but obviously could be changed.
