It is a medium sized decorative bowl, hand painted and gilded in Japan, and imported by Heygill Imports. It features a pair of peacocks, with gilded beaks and tails, resting on a branch of a cherry tree. Around the rest of the bowl are other flowers and cherry branches. The images are painted in blue and green and are bordered by black lines above and below. The rim of the bowl is gilded, as is the geometric pattern around the inside of the rim and the floral design in the bottom of the bowl. At 8.25" in diameter it is a lovely size to add a decorative touch to a coffee/end/sofa/console table or more. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and with all the gilding intact. See less
