The Chippendale style exposed frame in a deep reddish brown stain features a stretcher base; reeded carvings on the arms; straight, square, paneled front legs with chamfered corner; and square rear legs that swoop back gracefully as they approach( the float. The chair was professionally recovered in 2012 in a stunning sapphire blue damask from Kravet. Originally purchased as a host chair for the dining room. Since being recovered, it has seen light duty as a lounge chair in a guest bedroom but would work equally well in a living room, library or office. Sturdy and comfortable, its simple, straight lines have decidedly traditional roots but blend easily with many design styles. See less
