This red clay Hopi pot by Roberta Youvella Silas features motifs from ancient Sikyakti pottery shards. Roberta Youvella Silas (1939 - 2009) began making pots in 1965. She grew up in an area rich in ancient pottery shards and incorporated the designs she found into her own pieces.
This pot is in very good original condition with wear consistent with age and use.
